I need some advice!!

I have two weeks to explore the country in September and need help deciding where to go. I want to do some walking, see the countryside and the west coast, but I am a beginner walker and have no idea where to start!

Really vague I know, but if anyone could help then that would be most appreciated!!

I'd recommend Ben Lomond, Geeooo. It's a relatively easy walk and the scenery is breath-taking.

This site may provide useful information for you as well Geeooo. www.scotland.org/about/entertainment-and...culture/walking.html
It gives links to information covering a gentle stroll through to serious hill walking. As I live on the east coast I can't advise about your preferred area but wish you a wonderful holiday whatever area you visit.

Hello Geeoo and welcome.

I think you should see some of our wild life, Ospreys, Puffins and other sea birds, Deer and if you are a fisherman, angling on our lochs and rivers are excellent.
Boat tours including dolphins, and other sea mammals, and of course the magnificent scenery as well. Then if you haven't run out of puff you can take in some of our forest walks.
Whatever you choose have a lot of enjoyment.

Here's a few more ideas:-

A trip on the "Waverley"
Glencoe visitors centre.
Ben Nevis
Inverary jail
Loch Fyne oyster bar
A visit to "The Drovers"(An inn over 400 years old)
The West Highland way
A trip by train to Fort William (on your way to climb Ben Nevis )

Whatever you decide to do, enjoy yourself...

Depends if you're driving or not but if not why not get a Rover's ticket for the train and then you can isle hop too. The list from dws is interesting but he missed out Skye. Skye is awesome. If you're driving or going by train you can go from Mallaig and get over to Skye from there.

Better still to use Skye as one of the ways to get to God's own island, Eilean na Hearadh (the Isle of Harris) !!
