Is it just me or is this not just another case of rich westerners jumping the queue ahead of the poorer developing world locals?
I think this is outrageous.
The author blithely talks about rising standards in the hospitals and more 'brain drainers' coming back home but are these shiny new hospitals treating any more of their fellow nationals or are the locals being priced out?
Also private hospitals treat the cheapest patients they don't treat the chronic or the long term sick or the elderly or those with expensive conditions like MS etc.
Poor people will die so that the relatively rich westerners can get their treatment cheaper.
Instead of going abroad they should bite the bullet and fix their own bloody mess at home
