Richard Hammond and his wife Mindy on his 200mph+ crash and his subsequent coma and brain damage. I was reduced to tears reading this book. To know that your brain isn't functioning as it should but not being able to see what's wrong must be soul-destroying.

Mindy's description of trying to get her husband back and their struggle to regain their family life with their children is a wonderful story of triumph over adversity.

I'd recommend it to anyone (keep a box of Kleenex handy).

I've done quite a bit of work with folks with Acquired Brain Injury. It's tragic for the family - catastrophic for the individual. Luckily, in most cases, the victim is unaware of any changes in their personality or behaviour. Thanks for the info - I'll give this one a read.
