I use Firefox to navigate the forum, as follows. You can right click on say "Scottish Politics", and open in the link in a new tab, then you will get a list of the threads. Do another right click on the topic of interest, and open the link in a new tab, then read it and/or post your comments.
This has your trail of right clicks neatly stacked on your desktop, each with their associated tab, and any or all can closed as you wish.
So right click on the link, open it in a new tab and bob's or TLJ is your uncle "woodsysdad".
