I am finding this a little hard to understand. We have had so much publicity about the problems within Aberdeen council. I know that halfway though checking the accounts for Edinburgh District Council they discovered a black hole of over £50m. This would suggest that many other areas showed a deficit. Edinburgh council will also continue to fund the tram system, which like our parliament building seems to be escalating out of all recognition in the cost department.

The finance issue is so serious that Edinburgh is closing Schools and many other facilities as soon as possible. They are cutting funding in every possible area. Refusing pay rises to employees. What I cannot understand is why the difference in publicity between the two councils. The funding issue seems no different.
