Apparently an attempt to back peddle is being made. But Lord Seb Coe has apparently announced the intention of the Olympic committee to arrange a GB fitba team for 2012 with Alex Ferguson as manager.

Asked about opposition from the Scots and Welsh his reply was reportedly "F*** 'em".

So Coe has been Coerced to create some smoke to cover the Tory's calamitous relationship with Scotland. What next a fact finding event at the nearest Highland games!!

It may have escaped Lord Coe's notice but Sir Alex has already been asked about his views on the matter. His usual laconic reply gave rise to the belief he was less than enthused about accepting the position as manager of any GB team!

Following on Sir Alex refusal, David Beckham stated he would be happy to be offered the managerial role.
