I never knew the Rangers fans were so sensitive to a bit of banter. As we all know in Manchester their as about as welcome as a bout of the plague. I never knew so many watched Coronation St, mind you they've nothing else to do on a wednesday night. According to Rangers it was a minority that rioted some minority, it was a big boy that done it and ran away syndrome,

Apparently some Scottish character in the soap said that something was as unlikely as him supporting Glasgow Rangers. Since normal people don't support Rangers, and indeed wouldn't want to be associated with a team that encourages sectarianism and has such a disreputable rabble of a support, it's hardly cause for comment.
I'm often surprised at the affectation of sensibility that soccer followers have. The Celtic bhoys get upset about a song about the Irish potato famine and the blue nosers protest about IRA chants and black balaclavas. Why can't they behave like normal human beings and refrain from offensive behaviour? When one sees them en masse they're like another species. Lower orders indeed.
