It appears we are in the midst of a new arms race.

I remember the last one where at least we knew who our enemies were (alledgedly the communists) now we appear to be arming anyone with the cash.

Do we really think the pursuit of profit on the basis of "if we don't someone else will" is making the world a safer place or merely fanning the flames?

I believe the latter.
