It's only a trailer but it really struck a cord.

Watched the 'trailor'. Where do I begin to vent my anger at my government's cynical folly? It shouldn't be enough just voting these evil fuckers out of office. Real justice should prevail at the Hague. I can't think of one good reason why Iraq was invaded.

I agree with you Doc,I also watched the trailer, and it's obvious that the real perpetrators of this crime are literally going to get away with murder.
I wish that someone would have the sense to say enough is enough it's time to pull the plug and withdraw the troops,.....NOW... and to hell with the consequencies.
I am sick of hearing, practically on a daily basis that more young soldiers have been killed...and for what? What a terrible waste of young lives.
The title of the film is very apt indeed there is certanly no end in sight. There isn't even a glimmer of light at the end of the long dark tunnel.

I watched the trailer Slugger but know that I just cannot sit through this film. As Jamrie has said, I find it increasingly difficult just to watch the news each day.

I watched the trailer earlier this afternoon, but didn't want to write an instant response to it. I wanted to think about it awhile first. It's very cleverly edited, that trailer, the string of audio clips and visuals linked together. It's designed to inflame passions in people: the people who were against the war in Iraq from the first (myself included) are bound to feel as Doctormisterangry does, and those who were gung-ho for the war and its &quot;moral imperative&quot; (if it had one, ever) might begin to re-think their position.

Last night, I read an opinion piece in the local newspaper. It was written by one of the English professors at the university I attend. More food for thought:

OG,I've just read the article by the learned professor, and it really does confirms what we are saying here.
I think that the arguement for immediate troop withdrawal is further strengthened after yesterdays awful carnage in Iraq.
It seems that things are going from bad to worse.
I certainly don't see any reason for being optimistic.
Every day all we hear about are tales of doom and gloom.
I wish that there was something more positive to report.

It's a mess that never should have been started, Jamrie. Even if the troops began withdrawing tonight, though, the blood bath in Iraq would continue. It's not rocket science to understand that these warring factions aren't going to stop killing each other until one of them has the upperhand/larger population OR figures out that it's better to live and let live and not quibble over differences in customs and traditions.
