I watched the trailer earlier this afternoon, but didn't want to write an instant response to it. I wanted to think about it awhile first. It's very cleverly edited, that trailer, the string of audio clips and visuals linked together. It's designed to inflame passions in people: the people who were against the war in Iraq from the first (myself included) are bound to feel as Doctormisterangry does, and those who were gung-ho for the war and its "moral imperative" (if it had one, ever) might begin to re-think their position.
Last night, I read an opinion piece in the local newspaper. It was written by one of the English professors at the university I attend. More food for thought:
