I am a reformed smoker having stopped just 2 years ago, but I totally agree with you regarding driving and smoking. I once was smoking in my car when the lit end fell off and ended up burning my which needed A&E treatment

I don't think that any of you would survive out here.
Apart from having really crappy roads, you have to contend with birds checking their make up and hair when at a road junction or traffic lights.
Birds gassing away on their mobile, completely oblivious to whats going on around them. It is against the law but who cares?
It's generally a free for all and most drivers will drive on the smoothest part of the road, so overtaking can be done on the inside outside or the middle.
During hot days you will find that most drivers prefer driving in the shaded part of the road.
Indicators are fitted on all cars, but funnily enough it is the least used gadget.
I've been here long enough to realise that if you can't beat them then join them......The only advice that I was given was to always expect the unexpected.

Cyclists, particularly on roads beside the canal. Use the towpath & get out the way!
