It's came as an enormous surprise, while listening to Radio4 yesterday, that "Deep in the heart of Texas" was banned from being played in manufacturing industries. The reason was that when this was first played workers would pick up their hammers, no doubt big ones, and bash the work benches in time to the Boom Boom.
Benches were wrecked throughout the country, hence the ban.
