So, we're in the quarters ! What chance beating Argentina - and what chance being the best placed home nation ?

Every chance - if we play to our potential!

We could beat Argentina - I think we'll be able to make the 3rd place play off.

I think we will probably be the last home nation in the RWC, as we play our game on Sunday and the Auld Enemy will lose on the Saturday.

After watching the Argies maul Ireland this afternoon I am not too hopeful for oor chances, but you never know.

Have some faith, Nairnite! We can beat them!

Don't think we'll get past the semi's though....

I don't think they will beat the Argentine. I don't think England will progress any further either. It's going to be an all southern hemisphere semi-finals.

Australia 10 - England 12

Well, they proved me wrong, and all power to their elbow - they deserved it. I had to tune out of the after match gloating from the commentator's though.

Scotland, please play to your potential - you can win this one.

Argentina 19 - Scotland 13

Oh, Bollocks! The team didn't really turn up, did they?

Argentina didn't win - Scotland lost.

A pint of 80/- wasn't it, Nairnite?

Final on Saturday night - who would have thought England would have made it this far with all the shite they have been playing these past four years!

South Africa hammered them in the group stage and I for one hope they do it again purely because of the unbearable commentary that will be emanating from the orifices of Will Greenwood et al. It will probably mean having to watch the match with the SOUND OFF

Anyway I hope it's a real good game and the best team wins, and not the team which kicks the most penalties!

Do you want a chance to win back yer pint dws?

Okay

Whom to choose......

The 'Boks - although a masochistic part of me wants to see England pull it off...

Naw, the power of the Springboks should prevail.

I think....

Hi Guys

Your not taking this seriously enough. It just isn't a matter of the best team winning. If England win, we are going to be swamped by the anglosaxaphone reminding us of the fact for the next four years. Provided of course there is enough time between anniversaries and updates on another world cup final, you might have heard about, 42 years ago!

Turning the sound down doesnt work you can tell by the smirk on their faces.

Now where's that pub?

I hear you, schawaldowris!

It makes it bearable when they suffer a cringe though, four commentators being collectively sick on national TV is a sight to behold...

Last Sunday, with a choice between either the Antiques Roadshow and Wife Swap, I agreed to join my sports mad OH and watched my first rugby match. Absolutely loved it! (Nothing to do with Percy Montgomery whatsoever ) Slowly getting to grips with the scrum, ruck and maul and I am really looking forward to tomorrow’s game. And of course, everyone in this household will be supporting England…

So Tibbie's on "Thigh-watch" then.

Good luck to England, but please don't rub everyone's noses in it if you win!
