Why can't we be told who this person is? He's quite clearly a serious danger to the public so we should be given the facts. I hope he's locked up for a very long time indeed but that doesn't seem likely since he's being let off with culpable homocide instead of being convicted of murder. It's hard to imagine how stabbing somebody to death isn't murder i.e. he deliberately carried a knife, used it and a boy died. The very highly paid employees in our so-called justice system clearly don't live in the real world.

I really think that we should let the law take its course.

The difference between culpable homicide and murder may seem difficult to some to comprehend, but we have such subtleties in our legal system precisely because real life is more complicated and messy than those who live in the black and white world of tabloid moral certainties understand.

Similarly, there is no case for breaching a person's right to privacy when the process of justice has still to fully complete its course.

Justice carries scales, for weighing rights and duties as well as circumstances in the balance, and not just a sword.

Really? So why are the names of others accused of crimes published before they're found guilty (or not)? This criminal might be young but he is clearly very dangerous

What will knowing his name achieve?

The names of those accused of crimes are often made public when they are charged with an offence and certainly when they appear in court. I can't see why an exception should be made for this killer just because he's 15. Or would you prefer that all criminals should remain anonymous to protect their privacy and avoid upsetting their delicate sensibilities?

Not all criminals are 15, and the law rightly treats young offenders differently to hardened lags. Another example of the scales of justice, and not merely use of the sword.
