Just watched this film. I know it won two oscars - I googled it. Very strange movie. The first 15 minutes has no dialogue. The rest of it peels away layers of the character Daniel Plainview played by Daniel Day-Lewis. The film was elegant and disturbing, quietly threatening, and totally gripping. A tour de force by Daniel D-L.

Scunnert rates it 4 out of 5.
