A wiki is a community reference point. Contributors add information (fact, not political opinion) to it and it's edited, corrected and expanded by the contributors as time goes on.

It will become clearer once I put the skeleton wiki on-line.

That sounds good TLJ. I'll certainly read it - what sort of articles would be wanted?

I'll be happy to contribute, but... wouldn't this just be a case of copying what's already on wiki about Scotland? Or are you looking for something different?

Of course, folk can use wikipedia or any other sources. However, it fits with my original idea of Scotsgait being an information portal and I've had a couple of folk recently asking me develop some element of reference resource.

It would be a community resource and how it would finally develop wouldn't just be up to me. My only comment would be that it has to be factual and objective and not politically biased (bias can be shown in The Gaithering !).

I'd be willing to help, too, TLJ. How do you want to organize this Scotsgait wiki?

I have tried to correct some mistakes in Wikipedia without success, giving references on several contentious issues of British history, and would welcome something that could be challenged more readily if proven.
