Lol! I get this picture in my head of a sort of Jame Gumb (from Silence Of The Lambs) with thick, badly applied make up, mascara running with hysterical tears wearing a Carmen Miranda style fruit bunnet an' a dress wi' a split up the side. Dunno why. I think Clare is spot on here, I 'm getting a bit cheesed off with the Herald as well. It's getting to be a bit of a chore - you know? I really enjoy reading some of the posts and I have learned absolutely loads from all the half-decent posters but I'm only posting now and again when I think I've got something different to say, which isnae very often. Like Clare, I 'd hate for some of the nameless ones to appear here, mind you - what like's Jambo's security?

ps I saw a photie of Braveheart on the Local Government website - just what you'd expect - a wee crabbit, auld nonentity.

Hello Clare

I think the Herald threads are now pretty appalling actually. Too many posts now are just rants and spoil the whole thing. All sides are guilty of it and its vile. I'm not sure Scotsgait would last long if that sort of thing is transferred here.

I agree.I'm not going to stop posting at the Herald tho'- I'd just like to keep the pressure on and make sure my pov gets heard. I tend to be a bit confrontational on the Herald boards but I'm going to try to stop that and try to be more constructive. But nae kiddin' some of them really make the red mist descend.

That's exactly why they post like that Stu. You'll notice they rarely comment on the article in question and either make an attempt to inflame or feign deep offence at some perceived slight.

They hate it if you answer in a reasonable manner and pick their post to pieces.

They hate it even more if they're totally ignored.
