Jaimekens-just to keep you in the know... 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
I hurt my leg last week. Im good, no worries. Felt like my knee was gonna fall into ma ankle. I was scared to death when it happened. Not of the injury.. but how the HELL was i gonna take care of the kids and home.. and work.. I dont have benefits. If im not there.. i dont get paid. At the time, i didnt know if it was broken or what.. I was sooooo upset. Thank the Good Lord its just a tendon thang.. and that there is no break or fractures! I was so very scared there would be weeks of trying to stay off it.. and keep up a household..and with My pa... it was 6 months.. by golly... Im very happy to report.. it was just a few days off the ole thang.. and i am good as new! I shoulda not worried.. but.. there ya go.. its a weakness of mine. and of course.. i failed, miserably..

Stayin off it was the hardest part.. my ma came out and helped a bit to make sure things were runnin smoothly... as we are already backlogged with laundry for appliance problems.. and.. thankfully the kitchen sink doesnt leak no more.. or she woulda been REALLY spinnin.. a few weeks ago.. i was pannin water out of the bathtub and doin dishes out of a bucket...(waitn on a part over the weekend) and rinsin them in the shower.. It was a mighty stressful few weeks... Not to mention... bein in the dark all the while. But, hey... what can i say... crap happens. Thankfully.. we are up and running and in full speed ahead!!!!!! I just wanted to share my joy!!!! yeah!!!!!!

I figured.. i'd letchya know. Kids are good.. healthy.. and FULL of energy...

Be back soon!

We're all doin good, last week we were a bit bogged down with baseball and bibleschool... and swim lessons.. and...harvest!!! Gosh almighty the stars are lined up for work!!! Yesterday, I weeded, weeded, weeded.. and the kids plucked green beans from the bushes.. and we had more than enough for our supper! I was so blessed to have so many lil helpers this time around!!! Eager to help.. I didnt even have to snip a bean this time.. as i was gettn supper on.. my daughters were fighting over who would be snippin what beans!! What joy to have eager workers underfoot!!! My son has kept weeding to a minimum as he has been like a watchdog in my garden!! I raved over his green peppers and all that we had harvested over dinner!!! You should have seen all their proud faces!!!

On our way to bible school we got to pick up a few stowaways and when we would visit their farm on the way, it was like a petting zoo! They had 3 dogs, many kitties, chickens of all sorts..rabbits a plenty and a pony that loves peppermint candy! The kids were in agony to leave or not... Im trying to help my friend share this treasure with the community... and make some profit to help feed her lil friends! I told her about Arkansas's attempt to educate the farms in the tours sense.. and... creativity.. sounds like a plan.

The kids had a great time at Bible school.. learning about Galations..'the fruit of the spirit is love..peace..joy..kindness..
faithfulness...gentleness...patience..
and self control..' (in so many words)
we ALL needed it by the end of the week! The message hit home with many of us as we did our best together. Even some Christians have a tough time getting back to the root of focus. Even the adults learned much! Many new children showed..and our attendance.. was close to 40 this year!! yeah!! I was so thrilled to see all those young faces of sweet children.. They sang their hearts out and lots of joy and laughter filled our sanctuary.

I also traded kids all week.. some would take a few of mine.. and i would take on others.. at one point, I had some spare refrigerator boxes sittn round the house ready for paint..(yes, i keep them for the ready.. ) and we made a few play houses with them.. I cut out windows and doors and they decorated them.. I sent them with the kids that stayed over.. so.. my kids will be expecting some houses in the near few days!!!

I got to take the kids on a swim this summer! They all were excellent and stayed with me and listened well-considering their environment.. I was most impressed with their behavior.. enough to make another trip this week sometime. Except when it was time to go... but, i think my point was driven in their lil heads quite clearly on when we will leave..

throughout it all, my leg has held up like a trooper..and i know my limits. quit before you drop.

i plan on cleaning the carpets in the next week or two... that will be a task.. (keeping the debris clear enough for the task.. they never quite understand my insanity about keeping every item off the floor! ) and my daughter is going to spend time in her room... reorganizing her collection...my laundry is quite caught up which pleases me mostly ...and my son is going to summer school which displeases me mostly.. but we will do what we have to do. .. and we will be harvesting, harvesting, weeding, weeding..bartering for other produce... canning and freezing till christmas, i presume!

Allz good!

I hope y'all are well too! Im missin ya much! But, i gotta keep a movin or i'll be in troubles fer shore!!! Soon will be rest enough for leisure and talk.

by the way.. baby says,.. 'diaper, poopie, bye-bye, outside, down, up, on, off. drink, zuice, milk, ba ba, shoez, PLAY!, DOGgie, please, THANK you, more, DONE, bath, HOT! cold, zeeze, PAPle,(apple) (immitates car noises and guns..),where?!,BALL!!!' and many others... hes such a smart tot! my precious angel...what will i do when he grows up?! I may have to start up a day care to fill my days with babies..
He also climbs the slide backwards in the yard... and... is more and more efficient..and...boyish..like a monkey!! He climbs ladders.. He argues with me when i try to stop him... He wants to play like his older siblins.. He is ...growing fast!!! He swings on his own and... runs and..pulls a wagon around the back yard. Its hard to imagine that he still one years old. He has a birthday coming shortly.. and..wow how he has developed!!! He is also showing signs of getting pissed off with us and starting his first melt downs when he doesnt get his way.. such as going out of the house freely like his older siblings...whew!
For the most he is so easy to please and we rarely have any troubles a'tall.. good golly, i better be on my way.. i got work to be done!!! love n kisses to y'all!!!

Nice to catch up Jamiekins,

A busy life but fulfilling and happy I think.

That little one sounds a joy. It may be you are in for a touch of what we would call the terrible two's all of a sudden they decide they know better than you no matter the subject. It does not seem to last too long thank goodness, but it is hard while it lasts. Keep well, hope the leg does well.

Hear from you soon, good harvest.

Pray for our family. We are in desperate need of prayers right now. Everyone is safe. We are going through the riggers of being parents and going through the wolves. Its not easy being a parent nowadays. Its not easy atall.

I'll get back with yaz soon!
