Hiya HJ and welcome to the site. There's a thread further up the board if you want to introduce yourself. As for being an Englishman, I think you'll be ok as long as you don't mention 1966 too often.

Hello HJ and welcome to Scotsgait.

I was born in England too and have been an honourary Scot for many years. The "honourary" bit was given by our neighbours when we'd been here about 6 weeks - apparently we were quite mad enough to fit in well. I hope you are too!

How did I get my name? That's down to my pal who for a laugh in the pub'll say 'Hey Jimmy it's your turn to get the beers in!' I usually respond with a poor (no, a really bad) impersonation of Rab C Nesbitt to which I'm rewarded with a couple of elocution lessons. Did I mention he's Scottish?..
