As a Celtic fan I have not a lot to brag about at the moment but i have noticed supporters of other clubs within these pages and I would like your thoughts on the Gretna situation.

I found that from day one Gretna were told they were not wanted in the premier league. Weve all heard the pundits go on about how they shoud not be in this league, all the way through the season it continued and Gretna were the butt of all the jokes in fact the whole team were treated as a joke.

The Vultures were out the minute Mr. Gretna went into hospital and no one lifted a finger to help,meaning the SPL, oh eye the gave them a couple of quid to ease their concience but too little  to little

This team were promoted purely on the fact they were too good for everyone else in the lower leagues and won all the titles so are here on merit.

One sure fire way for them to fail was being made to play at Fir Park and away from the Fans, ( yesterdays crowd was 431 in total) the pitch there did not help matters when games were cancelled and revenue lost. I put the biggest blame for their downfall at the feet of the SPL.

They should have done everything possible to keep this team affloat allowed them to play games at Dumfries ( I know about the criteria for stadia, but yesterdays crowd makes a mockery of this rule) this at least would have guarenteed bigger crowds and ensured the players got paid.

In the end Scottish Football will be the losers and the snobs of the SPL oh and the Media Pundits also should hang their heads in shame.

Gretna comming up to the SPL should have been applauded for their achievements by all and gave other lower league teams something to aim for and thus hoppefully improve our game but allas i believe all we have done is cause another devide, sending out the message "No mater how good your team is if you not gettin in if you dont have the Green
