The first petition is asking Scottish Parliament to not allow the use of live embryos and the creation of hybrid embryos for use in research in Scotland.

Westminster have a bill going through which will allow both these issues in Scotland.

 The second is asking Scottish Parliament to allow the fathers name to be put on the birth certificate when a woman has undergone IVF. The new bill will allow two woman to put their name on the birth certificate which means the child cannot trace their natural father.
